The iconic Volkswagen Beetle has been brought to life again by the British tuner Twisted, which created the TBug, a modern and customized version of the classic model.

The idea is to revive the spirit of the old Baja Bugs, with a retro look, but with significant improvements in performance and technology. Each TBug is unique, made to order from models produced between the 1960s and 1980s.

The car receives a series of updates, including long-travel suspension, BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, a reinforced chassis, improved brakes, and a doubled engine power, reaching about 80 horsepower. Light and agile, the TBug is designed for off-road adventures while maintaining the fun and straightforward essence of the original Beetle, now with modern touches like LED lighting.

Twisted guarantees that no TBug will be identical to another, as each one is built according to the buyer’s preferences, from the paint job to the optional equipment.

The official debut of the model will take place on May 29th, at the company’s new showroom in London, offering a new way to experience the “Beetle style” in 2025, as Volkswagen has no plans to relaunch the model.
